FINALLY getting back into the groove.

It only took 3 months, lol! I am finally back to my old eat healthy-workout-avoid junk food ways. Well, i still have to give in to junk food occasionally! I have been doing at least one workout DVD a day and when everyone else goes to bed i watch tv and do my own versions of crunches or butt and leg workouts. It helps that Brody has been sleeping much better now and only wakes up one time during the night. I still have 4 lbs to lose to get to pre-preg weight but i mainly just want to tone up and work on my stomach. I am nowhere near swimsuit ready, that's for sure! It was so much easier after Carter. I could nap with him during the day and had more energy to work out. I also never had time to eat, which isn't healthy but i lost weight just the same. You would think with two now i wouldn't have time to eat, but for some reason i have been snacking more, probably because we always have snack foods for Carter in the house. Anyways, now i'm just rambling. :)

And Another Thing...

I'm currently wearing a pair of pre-preg jeans at this moment! Yeah! I had 2 pairs i was switching back and forth that were big on me before i got pregnant with Brody. Today though, i found a different pair of jeans in my closet that i really liked and wore all the time before i was pregnant with Brody but i totally forgot about. I tried them on and they fit! I still have 5 stubborn pounds that won't budge but i'm honestly not working very hard at getting them off so i can't really complain. I have a bridesmaid dress to fit into though in August so i have GOT to step it up for that!

He Slept Through the Night!

Yeah! Last night Brody went to sleep around 9 in his swing. I took him out of it at 10 b/c i was going to bed. I gave him the last oz or so he had in his bottle he ate at 9 and we went to sleep. I woke up to him fussing and when i opened my eyes it was starting to get light out! I looked at the clock and it was 5:45! Wooo hoo! So i took him out in the living room and made him a bottle and then i hear Carter waking up(ughhhh)....Brody went back to sleep in his swing until 9 and Carter and i napped on the couch til about 8. So it would have been great if Carter didn't wake up so early, but oh well. I remember when we laid down in bed last night i whispered to Brody "please don't wake up til 5 or 6" and apparently he listened. ;)

SWEET Deal and some New Pics

Today i went to the grocery store to get some formula and wipes and they had Brody's brand (Similac Sensitive) concentrate cans for $1.00!!! I took every one off the shelf, 11 total. Big sigh of relief because funds are really really tight right now. We're going to go to the WIC office next week and see if we qualify. We do on weeks that Brad doesn't work overtime so luckily the last 3 pay stubs don't have any overtime on them so i'm crossing my fingers that we qualify! Right now with this economy and me not working(daycare would void any money i bring in), any little bit will help and i'm not too proud to get help if we need it. Anywho, i also have some new cute pics of the boys.

Wedding Fun!

My friend Jenna got married yesterday. It was a beautiful wedding full of tears (of joy!) and great times! It was such a great day! The weather cooperated and everyone had a blast! Brad had to work so i took my sister Jolene, and we had so much fun! It was nice to get away for a night and be "Erin" and not "Mommy" although i missed the boys and they were never far from my mind. Oh, and be prepared for tons more wedding pictures this summer. I have like 5 to go to!

I have no clue what i'm doing on it! I update my status every now and again....that's about it. I don't "get" it. I don't get what the point is except to see what everyone is doing at whatever point in time. I'm gonna do some playing around with it and see if i can figure it out. If anyone has a Twitter account i guess give me the address so i can stalk, um, i mean follow you!!

Fun in Chicago

Saturday night was my friend Jenna's Bachelorette party. We left Saturday morning at 10am and made the 4 hour drive up there. We stopped at the Northbrook Mall to do some shopping and so Jenna could get her make-up done. Then checked into the hotel and started getting ready. After that we went to her friend Gina's house for a pre-party of food and drinks. She also opened a few gifts of lingerie.

Then a limo came and picked us all up and off we went!

We drove around and enjoyed free drinks in the limo and came to our first stop, Baton Lounge, a drag show. It was hilarious! Those guys(?) were pretty and had better boobs than me! lol No cameras were allowed but i did manage to sneak one picture-hehe.


After that we loaded back into the limo and headed to Enclave, a club in downtown Chicago. We were only there for maybe 10 minutes because it was so packed in there, literally shoulder to shoulder!


So we loaded back into the limo and were contemplating going to another club but by the time we would have gotten somewhere it would have been time to leave anyways so we went back to the hotel. It was a lot of fun and i'm so glad i went! I was really debating going or not since Brody is so young. It was a great trip and a nice getaway!

What a Day

This morning i had to take both boys to the doctor. Carter had his 3 year check-up and Brody's 2 month check-up and shots. I had my mom go with me and thank God i did because wow it was definitely hectic! First of all, i wanted to talk to the doctor about the vaccinations because i have been feeling really uneasy about giving all of them at one time to Brody. So the nurse gave me some info sheets to look at and the pediatrician took her time coming in the room. By the time she came in, Carter had had enough! He was just so bored and tired of waiting. He could not sit still and kept turning the light on and off, trying to open the door and escape, dumping crayons on the floor, etc. Finally, the ped. came in. When she came in, Carter was in time out because he hit Brody on the head. He was screaming at the top of his lungs! After his time out, my mom took him back out to the kids waiting room while the ped. looked over Brody and answered my questions. Then while the nurse came back in to give Brody his shots, she went in another room with my mom and Carter to give him his physical. He had pinched his hand on the flusher in the bathroom right before the physical and screamed the entire time. Brody was also crying because he just got his shots. Ugh..what a morning. I'm just so glad i scheduled early in the morning and got it over with. In all the madness and insanity, i forgot to write down the boys' stats. I remember that Brody is 12ish lbs and 23 1/4 in. Carter is 35 lbs and i think she said 34 or 36 in. Bad mommy i know! Anyways, i'm just glad it is all over! I'm definitely getting a sitter for Carter when i have to take Brody for his 4 month check-up!

Do You Think They Look Alike?

I seem to be having a lot of people tell me that Brody looks just like Carter. I honestly don't see it at all. I feel like if i hadn't seen him come out of me and watch them put on the ID bracelets on him in the delivery room (and the fact that he was the only baby in the nursery the whole time we were there) that he was not my baby! So i'll put a couple of pics up here of both boys and see if anyone sees any similarities.

Carter had TONS of hair when he was born and Brody doesn't have much at all. Carter's eyes were darker and Brody's are still bright blue. I'm not sure if his will change to brown or not.

Happy 3rd Birthday Carter!

My oldest little boy is 3 years old today. I'm sick so we're not doing much. We took him to Wal-Mart and had him pick out a few toys and now Brad is taking him out to lunch and then to the park while i am home resting with Brody. We had his birthday party yesterday and bad mommy didn't get any pictures! We had it at Happy Joe's and we had a great turn out and he got tons of presents! It was a great day.

Tummy Time!

One Month Old

I can't believe Brody is already one month old today. Actually, it feels like so much longer than one month. The past couple nights have been a little better sleeping wise. Last night we slept from 11-3:45 and then went back to sleep around 4:30 or so and then got back up at 6ish, back down at 6:30 and up again at around 8. He is starting to smile more now and a couple days ago he started cooing. It's so cute. I can't wait for him to start the big smiles and laughs. Carter loves holding him and Brody's starting to tolerate letting him for a little bit. He's starting to fit into his 0-3 month clothes and is pretty much grown out of newborn diapers but i'm trying to use up my last pack of them so i'm squeezing him into them. :)

Why.......

Why won't my baby sleep more than 2 hours in a row at night? Seriously, he will rarely go longer than 2 hours! He has gone 3 or 4, but that has just been a few times. I have started giving him formula in the evenings hoping that will help keep him fuller longer but that hasn't helped either. I am exhausted.

Okay, Blogger is really ticking me off!

So, first my blog list was somehow deleted from my page. I never messed with any settings, just one day i logged on and it was gone. However, on my dashboard i still had the list of all the blogs i'm following, so i could keep up from that. Now, i just logged in and it says i'm not following any blogs. I'm way too busy and sleep deprived to have to go back and add every single one back, so i'm not. This is so annoying.
