What's new?

Sorry i haven't updated forever but i have been extremely busy! I've been working a lot for one, and just haven't had the energy to do much other than that. We also are in the middle of helping my Grandpa finish fixing up the house we're moving into in about a month. I am so excited for that! Right now he is finishing up dry wall in the bedrooms and we will be able to start painting next week and when we're done with that we will put in the carpet! Other than that we just have to put the linoleum down in the kitchen and that's pretty much it! He bought this house about a year ago and put all new siding and windows in it and all new carpet downstairs. Now we're just finishing up the upstairs. I will update with pictures when i get the chance to take some! I wish i would have taken some before pictures because a lot of work has been done just in a few short weeks!

Pregnancy Update

I had my 15 week appointment today and everything is great! I had to take Carter with me and let me tell you it will be the last time i do that! Anyways, i got to hear the heartbeat and it was a steady 160 bpm. I also scheduled my BIG ultrasound for September 22nd. What sucks is that i had to make it late afternoon so Brad could go with so it will be the longest day ever!!! Oh my gosh i can't wait! Please pray that the baby cooperates and gives us a good shot because i am so ready to start shopping and get the nursery ready! I will add a 15 week pic either tonight or tomorrow whenever i get a good one. I am still down 1.5 lbs but at least i have gained some since last time when i was down 4.5 lbs.

He almost burnt the house down!!!

Oh my gosh the scariest thing happened while i was cooking lunch. Carter was just running around playing like usual and i started the oven so i could just throw in a pizza. Lazy i know! Anyways, i had lit a couple candles just before i turned the oven on and about 5 minutes after that i smelled something funny. I thought maybe it was one of the candles so i went around and checked and they were all fine. Then i thought maybe something was just left over in the oven and was burning. Well, i walked into the living room b/c it was starting to smell really strong like something was burning. It was very smoky so i started running around looking for whatever it was that was burning! Then i saw it. Carter had thrown his pajama top from this morning onto a lamp and it was about to catch on fire! There were no flames but tons and tons of smoke. My eyes were burning from the smoke. I grabbed the shirt and threw it in the sink and turned on the cold water. Then i hurried up and opened up all the windows and Carter and i went outside on the deck for a little bit while the smoke cleared out. Man, i have never been more scared in my life!

All the new Swiffer commercials are hilarious! I couldn't find my favorite one, which is where the lady is in the grocery store and the mops go flying by in a shopping cart, but this one is funny, too. Here is a link.

12 Weeks

Here i am at 12 weeks. I have actually lost 4.5 lbs but my pants are definitely getting tighter.

Second Dr. Appt.

I haven't posted in a while, just because i haven't felt that anything i have to say is interesting enough to take the time to write it all down. Anyways, i had my second dr. appt last Wednesday and everything looks great! I had to get the exam, get blood drawn, answer 500 questions, etc. Then the dr. tried finding the heartbeat with the doppler but couldn't find it so naturally i was freaking out even though she told me she thought it was too early but wanted to try anyways. So she took me over and did a quick ultrasound to show me that everything was okay. The baby was moving around a lot and i got to see the heart fluttering and hear the heartbeat. It was 170 bpm so very strong!! Oh, if i could just have the next 8 weeks fly by so i can find out the sex of the baby! I am going insane! I am 12 weeks 2 days and have felt pretty good except being extremely tired but the past week or so i've gotten some energy back. Today, though, i passed out at work....UGH, i did it when i was pregnant with Carter, too! I had low iron with him and had to take extra supplements. I had gotten to 12 weeks without passing out so i thought maybe i'd be okay this time. Oh well, i'd much rather pass out than puke! Anyways, that is all i have for now!
