My Favorite Preggo Pic so far

This was taken last week at 23 weeks but it is my favorite one so i had to put it up here. I put the shirt on and it is HUGE so i found one of my belts and just added it on to make it look dressier. My hair's a mess but oh well.

So depressing.

I haven't updated my blog in like a week. I've just been kind of down in the dumps. Well, i mentioned how my grandpa fixed up a house and was going to rent it to us for a really great price but we had just re-signed our lease in May and our landlord wouldn't ever get back with us about trying to get out of our lease. All she said was that there wasn't anyone looking at the apartments right now so we were stuck in our lease until May next year. My grandpa couldn't hold the house for us that long b/c with all the updates he made he really needed to start making money out of it. He had to put it up for sale/rent on Thursday and already found someone to rent it by Saturday. So that royally sucks b/c we have a baby coming in February and we are already exploding out of our apartment with just us 3 living here!!! So we are just really hoping that there is something out there for us in May when our lease is up. I REALLY would like a house but we just don't have good enough credit to get a loan to buy one. Hopefully we can find a decent house to rent so at least we have a yard for the kids to play in and room for all our crap! Otherwise, i just really want something with 3 bedrooms and a washer/dryer hook-up b/c we have a washer and dryer but this apartment doesn't have any hook-ups! With a newborn we'll definitely need it! Anyways, that was just a ramble, but that's really the only thing going on right now.

23 Week Appt.

I had my 23 week appt today. Basic weight/blood pressure check, pee in a cup, and listen to baby's heartbeat. Heartbeat was 154 bpm, and baby was wiggling around while the doctor was listening. Carter went with me and wasn't too bad! I brought his little back pack and filled it with trucks to keep him occupied in the waiting room and thankfully we only had to wait like 2 minutes! I also got the flu shot, which i was a little nervous about, b/c i got one when i was pregnant with Carter, too and i felt sick for about a week afterwards. Headache, tired, just not like myself. I'm really hoping it doesn't do that to me again this time!

Here is a belly pic, i finally had to buy myself a pair of maternity pants, the ones i have saved from Carter are too big still. I have gained 4 lbs total!

He made it!

Carter woke up dry this morning, in his undies! I'm not sure if i'm going to continue to put him to sleep in undies or not though, we'll see! Right now we're on track only buying one pack of pull-ups a month, and that's not bad, they're only like $8 or $9. Much better than $25 for a box of diapers!!

Taking a big risk...

Tonight is the first night Carter is sleeping in undies instead of a pull-up. Brad and I were in Chicago Saturday and Sunday and my mom brought him back home to us around 7:30 and he had fallen asleep in the car. My mom said he went pee right before they left and didn't have anything to drink for a couple hours before that so i'm not going to put a pull-up on him. Hopefully i don't wake up in the middle of the night covered in pee! He's been waking up dry for awhile now so he should be fine though!!!

Not quite sure how to title this one....

Well, my day had a rather rude start! I woke up at 6:22 to go pee, and then went back and laid down in bed. Brad was up getting ready for work and i was trying desperately to fall back asleep before Carter woke up. Well, then i hear cussing coming from the other room and wonder what the heck is going on! Brad comes in and says that the toilet in our bathroom is overflowing and was putting towels down around the toilet trying to soak up some of the water. He got it all soaked up and then left for work and i told him i'd call the maintenance guy when me and Carter got up. Well, Carter decided then that it was time to get up and grabbed a blanket, laid on the couch and turned on the tv. So i got him his milk and laid down beside him. I put in Thomas and drifted off for a couple minutes. Then i heard the doorbell ring so i get up and look through the peek-hole and it is our downstairs neighbor. She said that there was water leaking down in her bathroom and she called the emergency maintenance guy to come fix it. She thought a pipe burst or something. Great!!! So then i had to officially get up and start picking up the house frantically while waiting for the maintenance guy to come. Well, by 8:30 he still wasn't there and they have a key anyways so Carter and I left and did our grocery shopping. When we got back he was there taking apart our toilet. He tried the plunger, then the "snake" which is a long tube thing he stuck way down into the toilet. That didn't work so he had to take the entire toilet out of the ground and started looking down there. He could hear that there was something down there but couldn't get to it. Finally, he left with the toilet and came back about half an hour later with the culprit. The toilet paper holder. I had noticed that it was missing about a week ago, but our trash can is right below it and figured it fell into the trash and i threw it away by mistake. I'm assuming Carter threw it in there and flushed it down. Ugh......so he put our toilet back together and left after being here for 3 hours!!! It was definitely a long morning!!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is me and Brad's 3rd Wedding Anniversary. It really seems like much longer than that, mainly because so much has happened in that short amount of time. We have moved 3 times, had 1 kid, and are now on our way to having another one. We have definitely had our share of problems, some we are still working on, but i think everyone does at some point! It's only been 3 years, we still have tons more to come and i know that we will make it!

Pregnant Celebrities

When i was pregnant with Carter, there were quite a few celebrities pregnant with me. Britney Spears gave birth to Sean Preston about 3 weeks after i got my BFP and then was pregnant with Jayden when i was 6ish months along! Jennifer Garner had Violet in December. Gwenyth Paltrow had Moses in March and then Katie Holmes and Brooke Shields had Suri and Grier 2 days before i had Carter. Angelina Jolie had Shiloh in May. Gwen Stefani had Kingston in June. This time around, i was pregnant again with Angelina Jolie and Gwen Stefani, who had their babies during the summer and Jennifer Garner who is due sometime this winter. There was also Jessica Alba, Jamie Lynn Spears, and Tori Spelling who gave birth in June. Now there's Ashlee Simpson, Rebecca Romijn, Trista Sutter (from the Bachelorette) and Amy Poehler. Whew! I'm sure i missed some but man, is there a baby boom or what?? Anyways, there's my useless knowledge for the day!

Gahhhhh!!!

I was trying to change my layout and all hell broke loose!!! I lost tons of things on here, including everyone on my blog roll and i think i got everyone back but it's late and i'm exhausted so i'm going to get back on here tomorrow morning and re-check. I also have to make a new header that matches.

Belly Explosion

Pretty much overnight, i am finally showing!!! Well, enough to where strangers are starting to comment and stare at my belly. I was getting so sick of everyone commenting on how small i am, and now i finally have a nice sized belly! Here are a couple pics. I am 22 Weeks! The last pic is the best one.

Fall Fun!

Carter and I went to the pumpkin patch with my mom, sisters, and a little boy my sister was babysitting. The boys had fun running around and Carter liked pulling around his wagon. Then we went to my parents' house and i carved a really ugly looking pumpkin for Carter. Brad and I plan on taking Carter to the pumpkin patch again this Sunday and carving pumpkins as a family, too! 21 Weeks

Don't know why my face looks so weird! Also, my butt and thighs are definitely starting to get bigger!! Ugh......probably b/c all i do is EAT this pregnancy!! With Carter i had to force myself to eat b/c i just had no appetite at all and way too many food aversions so even if i was hungry nothing sounded good. Oh well, as long as baby is growing and healthy, right?

I almost forgot..

I just HAD to get something for the baby, too, during our trip to Wal-Mart this morning. They had some of their long sleeved onesies and cotton pants on sale for $2.50 so i picked up 2 outfits- $10 total, so not bad considering one package of undies for Carter was almost $7! At least they are MUCH cheaper than diapers though!!!

Here is a pic. I bought Preemie size b/c even though Carter was 8.3lbs when he was born and never lost any weight in the hospital, he wore Preemie size for almost a month! Seriously, what do 6-pounders wear??

Guess what i'm craving!

My Big Boy!!

Carter is now on day 4 of completely wearing underwear!! He has been waking up dry for about a month now and been wearing pull-ups and underwear for about that long, too! About 5 days ago, he started peeing in his pull-ups again instead of telling me when he had to go so i decided that i would just only put him in underwear and he's done great! It was basically me needing to stop being lazy and putting a pull-up on him when we went out running errands or around the house when we were busy. He has done so good even during our grocery shopping trip, trip to wal-mart, and trip to see Nana at work for lunch! He has only had one accident and it was just a little bit of dribble on the way to the potty, he finished going in the potty. He also woke me up at 11:30 last night saying he had to go pee, so i took him and he peed for like 5 minutes straight! He had quite a bit to drink before bed but he held it in and went on the potty! I am so proud of him and he is, too! So i took him to Wal-Mart this morning and let him pick out some new underwear and a new toy! He chose Batman undies, even though he doesn't even know what Batman is. Oh well! He also threw in the animal paper plates, too! I bought the 6 pack of Fruit of the Loom tighty-whitey's, too for him b/c i thought they were just too cute!!
