Sad news today

Not about me though! I worked this evening and was talking to a co-worker about my pregnancy, how i was getting to the point to where i couldn't bend over very well anymore to pick something up and she said "well at least your baby is healthy." It wasn't in a snotty way or anything, though! She was just really glad that everything is going well. Back to the point though. A guy we used to work with has a little boy who is probably 1 1/2 or so and his wife is pregnant again. I had heard that she was pregnant a while ago but pretty much forgot since i obviously don't see him anymore. Well, my co-worker was saying how they are having a girl but she has a lot of problems. She has spina bifida, club foot, and fluid on her brain. She said that as soon as the baby is born she will go immediately into surgery to see what they can do. It is just so sad and i feel so terrible for them! It must be so hard to go through that, especially since they have a perfectly healthy boy! It was completely unexpected! It just really makes me thankful for everything i have. So far this pregnancy everything is going so well for me and my baby looks perfect and i'm just so glad. I have a lot to be thankful for in my life and i need to focus more on that than what i don't have.
