Should i do it?

We didn't tell anyone Carter's name until after he was born. We had it picked out but i refused to 100% commit to it until i saw him. After we were all cleaned up and everyone came back into the room we announced his name. Well, we are pretty sure we have a name for this one now, but i still feel like i shouldn't tell anyone 100%, i reserve the right to change it at anytime since it isn't set in stone yet until it is on the birth certificate. That said, people are slowly finding out what that name is. I told my sister, who told my mom, who told my dad, etc. I'm just worried that he will come out and he won't "look" like that name. Anyways, i guess i'm kind of superstitious in telling people that that IS his name! So i guess this post doesn't really have a point, just that i really want to share it because it makes him more "real" i guess? Soo i'll put it in invisible font so you have to highlight the text to see it....hehe.

The cursed pajamas

Carter has a pair of pajamas that he got from my parents for Christmas that are adorable. They are Carter's brand, navy blue with dogs and frogs on them, the button up soft kind. Well, every time i put them on Carter, he pees the bed. I don't know what it is about them but every single time i've put them on him, he has peed. I packed them in his bag when he went and stayed with my parents last weekend and he peed the bed at their house. He hasn't peed the bed at all ALL week, so i figured i'd give them a try again, SURELY it couldn't be the pajamas, right? Well, to be sure i was going to go in and sneak a pull-up on him before i went to bed because i had just put clean sheets on the bed a couple days ago and didn't feel like having to wash them again. I went in about 11:30 and the bed was SOAKED. Ugh. I've finally learned my lesson. Either don't let him drink anything at all the day he wears those pajamas, or just forget about them.

34 Week Appointment

I had my 34 week appt today at 34w4d. I've gained 17.5 lbs total, so 1.5 in 2 weeks, a surprise since i was CERTAIN Christmas had done me in and put me at over 20 lbs already! My blood pressure was 120/58, and baby is still head down! I feel like i can be sure that he will stay head down from here on out now. I feel tons of pressure down there now and am getting really swollen, too(tmi). I start my weekly appointments next week! I thought i'd have one more 2 week appt before we went to weekly but i guess not! Also, i saw the midwife today(LOVE her) and she said that if i wanted they would check my cervix next week. They have to do the Group B Strep test so they'll be down there anyways. I think i'm going to decline it though until at least 36 weeks, maybe 37. I just don't want to be let down if there's nothing going on at all or if there is then i'll get my hopes up that it will be soon and it very well might not be. The midwife said she and one of the other doctors don't require it so i can turn it down if i want to. Well, that is all for now! I'm still feeling fantastic physically, my one complaint is bad pelvic pain every morning if i don't sleep with a pillow between my knees. It doesn't last very long once i'm up and moving around though. Other than that i feel great! Mentally though, i'm so drained, getting impatient, and getting annoyed really easily by Carter and Brad. It will be over soon though, i just have to remind myself of that!

Sweetest Story!

Okay so i was crying earlier (pregnant hormonal mess) and Carter was really concerned. He kept saying "Mommy don't be sad." "Mommy why you crying for?" and kept pointing to my face and asking why i had "wet" on my face. Then he said he needed a napkin to help me with my tears. I got out a kleenex and handed it to him and he started wiping my tears off. Then the funniest part, he put the kleenex up to my nose and said "Blow!" LOL he made me blow my nose! Then he went and threw the kleenex away for me and came back and gave me a hug! He is such a sweet little boy! I should mention that he has always been very affectionate as far as giving me hugs and kisses randomly but lately he has put it into overdrive. I wake up every morning to him giving me kisses and he tells me he's going to help me get out of bed. Usually he will say "love you, too!" after i tell him first, but the other night we were laying in bed watching tv and he was playing with my hair and he just turned to me and said "I love you Mommy!" Makes my heart melt. I'm going to be one spoiled lady with not one but TWO mommy's boys! (trust me, i'll make sure they know that when they get married that their wife is number 1 though)

Can't Stop Cleaning!

Oh my gosh i can't stop cleaning or thinking about cleaning. Yesterday i cleaned out my car, moved Carter's car seat over behind the driver's side and installed baby's car seat behind the passenger side. I dusted everything, vacuumed, and put 5 loads of clean laundry away. Saturday i cleaned both toilets, inside and out, spotless. I also scrubbed out both sinks. Today i scrubbed both showers, something i really wanted to get done yesterday but didn't have time to! Next on my list is to go through me and Brad's closet, and get rid of everything we don't need!! I have clothes from 4-5 years ago that i still have hanging out in there that i need to get rid of! Brad has tons of clothes that have been hanging in his closet since we got married that i have yet to see him wear. So that will be my next project. Right now, is nap time! Pray that Carter cooperates!!!!

Look what i did!

All by myself! lol I'm surprised i can still reach them at 34 weeks. Not for much longer though!

34 weeks

3 more weeks until full term! I'm definitely starting to nest. The baby's car seat and glider/ottoman came in on Friday. I put the glider together pretty much as soon as it was delivered. It came in 3 pieces so it was really easy to do. I vacuumed out my car and wiped down the seats, dashboard, etc. I got the baby's car seat installed behind the passenger seat and moved Carter's car seat over behind the driver's side. I have all Carter's newborn clothes washed and hung up. Baby also got a few outfits for Christmas, too so i think he's set for the first couple months. I'm not sure if he'll be able to fit into Carter's other clothes because he was born in April so the only winter clothes he has are newborn size sleepers and a few 0-3 month outfits. I have 1 pack of newborn diapers, 3 packs of size 1 and 1 pack of size 2, plus i have a bunch of size 1 and 2 saved over that Carter grew out of before the whole pack was used. I hope that lasts us a couple months! I bought some nursing pads, now i just need to get some Lanisoh. I still feel like i have a lot to do before the baby gets here but i still have a little bit of time!
