Another Carter funny

I just thought this was too cute not to share. We had already had our morning routine of milk and snuggling on the couch...and Carter was playing with his trucks and watching Clifford so i decided to sneak in a little computer time while he was playing quietly. Well, he had a little bit of milk left in his cup and when i went to check on him and saw this:

Then he saw me with my camera trying to take a picture and said "Cheeeese!" and then said "Mommy, put your camera up there (referring to the top of our entertainment center) where Carter can't reach it!" "Come lay here and snuggle Carter!" "I play Mommy's hair."

1. How many children do you have? 1 boy and another one on the way

2. What are their ages? Carter is 2 years 5 months and i am 20 weeks pregnant with #2

3. What time do you start your day? Whenever Carter wakes me up, which is usually anytime between 7 and 8

4. What do you eat for breakfast? We're not big breakfast eaters around here, but usually we will have either toast with peanut butter, cinnamon toast, waffles, mini pancakes...

5. Do your kids watch TV? Yes, we always start the morning off with Sesame Street, Curious George, Clifford, whichever one is on when we wake up. Sometimes in the afternoon we'll put in a DVD of his choice.

6. What are their favorite activities? Playing outside!!! Playing with his trucks, wrestling with Daddy, going on walks and to the park

7. Do you get a break during the day for some you time? Well, IF he takes a nap i get a break during that, otherwise on the days i work i guess that is my "me" time. And of course when he's in bed for the night.

8. How do you end your day? I give Carter a bath, Brad and I wrestle him into his pajamas, and then put him to bed, after that we pretty much just relax and watch tv.

9. What's your best parenting advice or tip? Don't ever laugh at or judge another parent when you see their kid throwing a HUGE public tantrum, b/c it WILL happen to you!!!!

"That'd Be Neat!"

LOL this is what Carter said to me this morning! I don't know where he comes up with this stuff but he cracks me up! We were doing our normal morning routine, laying on the couch with a blanket while he drank his milk and played with my hair, and he turned to me and said "Mommy, let's watch Thomas, now! Oooh, that'd be neat!" Haha it was just funny how he thought of that all by himself. He's been saying such funny things lately, but i usually forget when i go to write it down on here. I'll have to try to remember some other things he has said.

20 Weeks Today! (pic added)

Today I am officially halfway through this pregnancy!! I can't believe I'm already halfway there. It really has gone by fairly quickly. I know this last half will go by even faster though, with the Holidays quickly approaching! Now I need to start getting everything prepared... (i will update later with a picture after i shower)

Shopping for baby!

Even though we're not positive if it is indeed another boy, i couldn't help myself from buying some outfits this morning! Target had all their summer clothes on sale and most of the onesies were only $.98! Of course, there wasn't much to choose from in the boy section, but i did manage to find a few outfits that i liked. Also, Carter was throwing a tantrum the whole 10 minutes we were there, so i didn't get to look around as much as i would have liked!!

Well it's a....

....we're still not sure!!! I am so mad with my whole ultrasound experience i just wanna scream!!! Brad and Carter went with me b/c i wanted them to be there to see the baby and to find out the sex. The lady was rude and my ultrasound was 5 minutes long! She just took quick measurements, and then only turned the screen around for me to see for about 1 minute. She asked if we wanted to know the sex and we said yes, so she scanned around a little bit. She said she thought boy but when she showed me on the screen i didn't see the pee pee she was talking about. What i saw hanging down was half the length of the baby's leg! There is no way that was a penis! I have thought all along that it was a boy but was staying hopeful for a girl and after seeing it on the screen i agree that it probably is a boy but i don't have any solid proof. She barely scanned down there and i honestly didn't see the penis. She said i will have a more detailed ultrasound in like 2 months where she will spend more time showing me instead of measuring. So for now i'm still thinking boy but still have a twinge of hope for a girl. We'll see in a couple months i guess. I really wish we just told her we didn't want to know the sex if i knew she wasn't going to actually take the time to show me some proof.

5 Days!

5 more days until the "big" ultrasound! I'm just so excited to see the baby on the screen and see how much it has grown since the last ultrasound i had at 11 weeks. I can feel the baby moving all the time now and am excited to get a better idea of "who" is inside me. I really have no feeling at all on if i think it's a boy or a girl. There have been days where i really thought it was a girl and then i've had days where i thought it could be a boy. Hopefully the baby cooperates for us and gives us a good show so i can start preparing! My plan is to drink a can of pop on the way to the dr. office to hopefully get it moving around in there!
